What happens after I buy?
Your key arrives by email once payment is confirmed. Open a dataset, paste the key into the download section, and choose CSV, JSON, or XML. You can also download a category as a ZIP. No code is required.
Which pass fits my use?
Choose a Data Pass for your own projects, classroom work, research, or reports used inside your business. Choose a Commercial Pass when the data becomes part of a product or service you sell or provide to third parties. This applies even if you download the data once and use a saved copy.
If you are unsure where your use fits, ask before buying.
Does the data stay current?
Coverage varies by dataset. Check its description, preview, and sources before relying on it. A last-changed date does not promise that every record is current, and a pass does not include a guaranteed update schedule.
How does renewal work?
Your pass lasts 365 days. We send a reminder two weeks before it expires. To renew, buy the same pass with the same email address or enter your existing key at checkout. Your key stays the same. We never renew or charge you automatically.
I already have a Developer pass.
It is now called the Data Pass. Your existing key, expiry date, and access still work. There is nothing to change.
Are there download limits?
Individual file downloads count toward your API request allowance. Each pass key allows up to 10 category ZIP downloads per minute, with up to 64 MB of uncompressed data per ZIP. If a category exceeds that size, download its datasets individually. Neither pass allows bulk redistribution as a competing data service.
