Established Deposits

Good to know

Before you use it

  • Deposits is in dollars, as each bank reported them for each office on June 30, 2026. Banks choose which office to record deposits at, and the largest ones record most of them at a few offices, so an office's deposits don't show how busy it is.
  • 1,656 offices have no deposits: mostly loan production, messenger and other limited-service offices the deposit survey doesn't cover, plus offices opened after June 30. Coordinates come from the same survey, so they are empty for those offices too.
  • BranchID is the FDIC's number for the office. FDICCert identifies the bank, so all of a bank's offices share it. CountyFIPS matches the county demographics collection, and ZipCode the ZIP code collections.
  • Credit unions aren't insured by the FDIC, so they aren't included.
  • In every format, dates are written as yyyy-MM-dd, and yes/no values as true or false. An empty value means nothing was recorded.

Where it comes in handy

What you can build with it

  • Branch locators. Find a bank's offices in a city or near an address.
  • Market analysis. Compare banks' deposits by county or metro area.
  • Site selection. See where banks are, and where they aren't.
  • Research. Study access to banking across communities.
