Good to know
Before you use it
- Temperatures are in degrees Fahrenheit, precipitation and snowfall in inches. A normal is a 30-year average, not a forecast or any single year.
- 7,248 stations measure temperature. The rest measure precipitation only, so their temperature columns are empty.
- City is the place the station reports for: first by the station's name ("MIAMI INTL AP" is Miami), otherwise the larger and closer town nearby. MilesToCity is the distance to the city's center point. Washington, D.C.'s official station is Reagan National Airport, listed under Virginia.
- CityGEOID matches GEOID in the U.S. cities collection.
- In every format, dates are written as yyyy-MM-dd, and yes/no values as true or false. An empty value means nothing was recorded.
