Good to know

Before you use it

  • These are survey estimates averaged over 2020-2024. Every value has a margin of error that grows as the area shrinks, so a ZIP code with a few hundred people can be well off.
  • The Census Bureau caps its published medians: 250,001 means an income of $250,000 or more, 2,000,001 a home value of $2 million or more, and 3,501 a rent of $3,500 or more. At the bottom, 2,499, 9,999 and 99 mean that amount or less.
  • A value is empty where the Census Bureau doesn't publish one, usually because too few people live there. Rates are percentages.
  • ZipCode matches the U.S. ZIP codes collection, so you can add coordinates, county and area.
  • In every format, dates are written as yyyy-MM-dd, and yes/no values as true or false. An empty value means nothing was recorded.
