Generate a password or a memorable passphrase
Create a random password with your chosen length and character groups, or generate a passphrase made from randomly selected words. Generation uses your browser's cryptographic random source on your device, so the resulting secret is not uploaded to MySafeInfo or saved by the tool.
Password settings for everyday situations
Start with a 20-character password
Input
Mode: password Length: 20 Letters, numbers, symbols
Result
A new random 20-character password
The default avoids similar characters and ambiguous punctuation. Use a password manager to store the result, and regenerate if needed. This example describes the output rather than publishing a sample password that someone might accidentally reuse.
Use words when you need to type it
Input
Mode: passphrase Words: 6 Separator: hyphen
Result
Six randomly selected words joined with hyphens
A six-word passphrase is longer on screen but can be easier to read or type. Choose a separator the destination accepts. The words are selected randomly; writing your own familiar quotation is a different process with different predictability.
Match a site's character restrictions
Input
Mode: password Length: 24 Letters and numbers only
Result
A new random 24-character alphanumeric password
Disable symbols when a destination disallows them, then check its length requirements. The strength estimate changes with your settings. These are configuration examples; every generated result is fresh and will differ from earlier results.
How to make and save a new password
- Choose Password or Passphrase. Start with the default settings, then adjust the length or word count to suit the destination.
- For passwords, select the allowed character groups and exclusions. For passphrases, choose the separator and any optional additions.
- Generate a new result and review the displayed settings and estimate. Use Copy only when you are ready to place the secret in its destination.
- Save it in your password manager and use a different generated secret for each account. The generator has no password history or recovery service.
Password generator questions
Does MySafeInfo receive or remember the result?
No. Passwords and passphrases are generated in your browser and are not uploaded or saved by this tool. Copying uses your device's clipboard, whose history or synchronization settings are controlled by your operating system.
What does the strength estimate mean?
It estimates the number of possibilities under the selected generation rules. It is not a promise about a particular account's security or an exact cracking time. Password reuse, phishing, and the receiving service's security are outside the generator's control.
What length can I choose?
Passwords support 4 to 2,048 characters, and passphrases support 3 to 12 words. A destination may impose a smaller maximum or restrict symbols. Very short settings are available for compatibility, not as a recommendation for account passwords.
Do shared settings links contain my password?
No. The settings link includes supported configuration choices in the URL fragment, not the generated secret. Someone opening it can generate their own result with those choices. The tool is free, without ads or a Data Pass.
A generator cannot manage account security
This is not a password vault or breach checker. It cannot recover a lost result, update an account for you, or guarantee that a destination accepts it.
