U.S. Surnames

The 1,000 most common last names in the United States in the 2020 Census, with each name's rank, the number of people who reported it and how many people per 100,000 have it. The Census Bureau publishes names in capitals without punctuation or spaces; this list uses the usual form, such as O'Brien, McDonald and De La Cruz. Names with the same count share a rank.
